Beginning Mountain Dulcimer

This video lesson presents a very systematic method for learning the mountain dulcimer that can be used to learn a variety of songs. Completing each of the objectives in this video will ready the student to begin playing finger style.

•  Learn a basic 3⁄4 time strum for any 3⁄4 time

  accompaniment.

•  Learn to play Wildwood Flower in 4/4 time.

•  Learn a basic 4/4 time strum for any 4/4 time

  song.

•  Basic review of the Nashville Number System.

•  Chord positions exercises that will get you ready

  for my next video lesson – learning to play finger style.
